This stunning Louis XVI style trumeau mirror is set into a tall painted wooden frame with carved sculptural decoration.  

  

Originally designed to rest on a fireplace mantle behind a candle to reflect light in dimly lit rooms, this mirror would look fabulous in any room, with or without fireplace.  

  

We sourced this mirror from a family in Northern France. The family could trace the mirror back to the late 19th Century, when it was gifted to their family as a wedding present.

  

This mirror remains in original condition, retaining the character and charm that has been enjoyed for many generations. As shown in the photographs, there is some slight damage and cracking to the frame.
